Srivanchiyam
Sri Vanchinadha Swamy Temple
Location – Srivanchiyam is a village located in Nannilam town, Tiruvarur District, Tamil Nadu.
God – the Lord Vanchinadar, a form of the Lord Shiva
Goddess – Mangalanayaki
Known – 1100 years
Built By – King Rajendra Chola in the year 850 CE
Uniqueness-
- One of the unique features of this temple is the separate shrine to the Hindu god of Death and Justice, Lord Yama.
- Temple also has two statues of Nandi, one on the east side and one on the west.
- This temple is among the six temples in cauvery river bank which are equivalent to Kasi.
- Moksha to soul – Lord Vanchinadha gives Moksha to the souls which depart in the soil of srivanchiyam.
- This temple is even open during solar and lunar eclipse. It is a common practice to close the temple when there is a death in the village, but vanchinadhar temple is not closed when any person dies in the village.
- the Gupta Gangai is considered even more sacred than the Ganges at Kasi.

Ekambareswarar Temple
Location – Kanchipuram
God – Ekambareswarar (Lord of Mango Tree) or Ekambaranathar or Rajlingeswaram as Prithvi (Land sthala) lingam.
Goddess – Elavarkuzhali
Known– Temple existence since at least 600 CE
Built By–Initially built by Pallavas and present masonry structure was built during the Chola dynasty in the 9th century; later by Vijayanagar kings, during the 15th century, and laterrenovated by VallalPachiyappa Mudaliar
Uniqueness-
- Presiding deity is revered in the 7th century Tamil Saiva canonical work, the Tevaram
- Lord gesture was called as Tazhuvakuzhainthaar(“He who melted in Her embrace”)
- > 3500 years old Mango tree where Parvati worshipped Lord Shiva is still there and still bears mangoes and that too of four different types (sweet, spicy, citric and bitter)
- NilathingalThundam Perumal temple is a separate shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu and it is one of the divyadesam
- There are ten pillars in the temple’s inner corridor, and if you tap them with a stick, they produce different musical sounds.
- There’s an idol of Kubera, which is believed to grant riches to his worshippers.
- There are all the 12 zodiac signs on the roof of the temple. It is believed that you can rid of your Horoscopic defects and problems if you pray in the temple.

Known – Around 6th-century
Built By – Originally built by the Pallavas Between the 6th and 8th century, subsequently expanded by Cholas and later by the Vijayanagara kings in the 15th century

- The temple has icons of five forms of Vishnu: Yoga Narasimha, Rama, Gajendra Varadaraja, Ranganatha, and Krishna as Parthasarathy.

- Presiding deity is 9ft tall with Moustache like sarathy represents he will do anything for his devotee
- He appears with his family
